The Misty Marsh Shoppe on Tybee Island, Georgia has featured several pieces of my work....seashell topiary trees, greeting cards, framed photography, sunglass holder/lanyards and button bracelets.
Tybee Island, on the Atlantic Ocean, is an easy 20 minute drive from Savannah, Georgia. It is a wonderful place to vacation- quiet beaches and good restaurants at reasonable prices! Tybee beaches have been listed as one of the top healthiest beaches in the US! The weather is really great any month throughout the year except July and August when it gets pretty steamy!
Thank You Akron, Ohio! ...
I participated in a inaugural art show Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Akron Woman's City Club (AWCC). The AWCC, seen at left, is a beautiful venue celebrating 95 years of history. Sue Williams and her team of volunteers successfully launched the juried "Artisan Showcase" with a good showing of artisans and quality craftsmen. Traffic was steady with sales equally steady!
I extend my gratitude for all who stopped by my space which I neighbored with my sister, Carol Lewis, CA Whimsy. Carol offered her wonderful array of hand work. My line, JD Art&Design, was offered in all media I work in- my photographic works were the show grabber.
I look forward to showing again next year at the AWCC! Again, thanks to Sue for a successful event and gracious thanks to all the patrons supporting American art and craft!
In November, 2009 I packed up my art work for a day and headed to Stow Ohio. It was the first time in years that I have taken the "show" on the road. Along with my sister, Carol Lewis-CA Whimsy, we participated in a holiday art and craft show. Carol featured her new "A Note For All Seasons" card line, crocheted scarfs, and floral designs. I featured my cards, knit wear, jewelry, and photography. My "Buttons & Bows Bracelets" were a huge hit! The people attending made the show successful with lots of smiles and a genuine appreciation for the arts. Thank you to all for making our show successful!
Carol and I attended the Stow Holiday Show again in 2010- realizing that the current economy may play a different story than 2009 we offered a selection of small, affordable gift ideas. We did well- I sold 82 of my greeting cards in 3 hours! Thank you to all for a successful 2010 show! I attended one additional show in the fall of 2010 at The Shepherd of the Valley in Poland, Ohio. The hot sellers in this part of the world were my cards and knit wear! Thanks again to the supporters of American art and craft!
The NIJAQ Gallery and The Speaker Shop love the holiday time- glowing, warm, lots of comfort foods! We also love to share those feelings with all of our loyal patrons by having a holiday open house. We invite artists and crafts people to join in the festivities for our event. Maunfacturer representatives are included for product information on audio video pieces. It is truly an event to stimulate all the senses... sight, sound, and taste!
