2014 . . . I know I am getting older when the previous year seemed as though it endured a span of only a few months! As always, I look forward to entering each new year with a motivational drive continuing to support American made goods!
I will not back down. In fact, I have joined a group of dedicated artists, craftsman, vendors, all taking a pledge of Americans supporting each other. I hope you will do your part now and forever.
Additionally, my focus continues offering motivational works to inspire and support each other in such a changing world where too many times the concept of compassion toward one another, the concept of communication has waned. You can tweet, facebook, facetime, text til you are blue in the face but to make a conscious effort to reach out to someone by giving them a thoughtful gift of art or sending them a personal message via snail mail may just open new doors to their soul, to your friendship.
Here's to a new year, a new direction on what friendship means, on being a community of positive souls- on being.
Who Knew? . . .
If you would have said I was moving to Savannah Georgia in 2014 I would have laughed and said, "really?". Well, sometimes our fate is in the hands of something unknowing.
In the beginning of 2014 my husband and I received an offer on our building and we accepted! It was a whirlwind of boxes, bubble wrap and tape to pack up our 40 years of business. It has been a surreal event imagining a new adventure in an entirely different environment- void of snow! It is an adventure we are embracing with open arms. I do not have a specific date when the gallery will be back open so please check back in the Fall for an update. To our local supporters we thank you. I invite you to continue your support through the website for future sales. all the best, Jacque
. . . . Cheers To 2013! . . . .
Most of us begin a new year with promises of setting new goals and aspirations for our selves in our work field and/or in our private world. Again, my goals and aspirations stay focused upon my art and craft I create for you, for your work environment, and your private world. My goal is to continue providing my line of arts and crafts that may offer a sparkle in a stressful world or, provide a simple smile to warm your soul. There are a few new directions I am taking for 2013.....
I will continue expanding the JD Art & Design product lines. The successful LED lanterns will include two new variations, rooting/single stem vessels and message bottles. These will be under the theme of "Repurpose with a Purpose". The name, as it implies, will feature recycled bottles embellished with beads, charms, etc. The message bottles will include my original poetic thoughts or statements rolled up and placed inside.
New fine art photography works are offered in abstract form. (the first in this series is seen at right) The "photography" page will feature this new line that may evoke inner feelings through simple shape and color. Of course, many new photographic images will be added to the site. It has been a busy year. I hope you enjoy them!
New techniques and morphing works continue throughout my creative process year after year. My graphic design accounts are equally included with such aspirations. Understanding I am the vehicle for their visual successes is a constant goal that I strive to attain with each client. This year remains focused on promoting the Western Reserve group of businesses through a variety of promotional media.
The 2013 year (as you may have already read) brings a new change to the gallery with hours set by appointment only. This makes it more convenient for your crazy schedule and allows me to add to mine! I will be packing up my work and attending select art and craft shows. Mid May I will be attending a juried show in Akron Ohio. The new gallery "hours" allow me to expand my imaginative product lines and continue my goal of spreading smiles near and far.
I sincerely wish all of you good health and happiness. Thank you for supporting American art and craft. ~Jacque
. . . . 2012 . . . .
Hello To All!
2012 kicked in full gear with new art and new business relationships!...
I have begun tapping into my 1,000's of photo archives finding some interesting images. New are close ups of mushrooms. These are manipulated works combining a beautiful sky with the shrooms. They can be seen on the site under the photography, flowers, botanical images. They are offered, as all my images are: card format and matted works.
here's to new business relationships! . . .
My graphic design services have been kicked into the fast lane! After a chance meeting with new friends I acquired 3 new design accounts- a prosthetic & orthopedic company, a landscape contractor, and a business form company.
Marketing and identity branding has been successfully applied to the new accounts throughout the year- it is gratifying that the companies see the value in keeping their names out in the public in various forms of media; television, public and charitable events, print media, internet.... there's a world of development!
The business form company has begun offering my graphic design and photgraphic services. I love being creative for these local businesses and very grateful that they acknowledge the value of my work!
It has been a busy year! Please stop by and see how productive it continues to be!

I had the wonderful opportunity to market Boardman Ohio's Adamas Jewelry and Gifts for a span of 27 years. With diligence and dedication tasks were focused on business strengthening- image branding, increasing product awareness, and maintaining customer appreciation. Design and copy writing tasks covered all media formats- print, television, and a website.
Although my journey with Adamas Jewelry and Gifts has ended I say cheers to Judy Rafoth, original owner of Adamas, for her vision of what a fine jewelry and gift shop was to have been .....
Here Is Where Our Spot On The Map Began . . . . ... we consider speaker reconing an art form itself.
Nick Dorazio is one of the few remaining speaker repair specialists in the country. The Speaker Shop is known internationally for repairing and rebuilding vintage speakers, ie. Atwater Kent, Zenith, Philco, RCA. ... The speaker, in it's worst condition, is completely restored from it's metal basket to it's dust cap. Custom paper cones and rewinding voice coils is often employed saving the vintage era speakers. Current/newer model speakers are included in this process. In addition, the foam, or rubber gasket/surround deteriorates with age and/or the environment. As long as the speaker has no internal damage to the voice coil the speaker can be repaired at a reasonable price. If internal- voice coil damages have occurred- then a total recone is required. It is always a good idea to keep the original speaker in the cabinet. The cabinet is more than simply the box to house the speaker. The cabinet is an acoustical chamber working with the acoustical parameters of the speaker that work together as a unit creating the audible sound output as a whole. Since 1973 The Speaker Shop has been green saving sound from the dump yards! How do your speakers sound? For more information on the art of speaker rebuilding click www.thespeakershop.com
